Relative Linking of Graphics
Hi
I am trying to relativley link to media files. Is there any quick example of how to do this. Thanks Mike |

Mike,
What is it exactly that you try to do? Because for instance if go to the properties of an object and select a file in the "3D Shape" edit field and you write "userprojects\yourproject\filename.wrl" it is relative to the directory in which you installed flexsim so it will work on any flexsim installation. But if you mean with relative that you want a next file of a previous file, for instance you have a machine with 3 files attached to it, take a look at the frames commands in Flexsim. Steven |

If the files are relative to the model location, I found that if I moved the model and media files to another location (but the same relative paths to each other) I had to load and save the model in the new location before it picked up the files. I think this is because the model path is stored internally and isn't updated until the model is saved. At least this is what I remember from 4.3, I've not checked in 4.5beta.
