Default Training Material for Kinematics

Hi

Does anyone has a set of training material for Kinematics?

Have not been using it for a while, everything seems rusty. I can't even get an object to rotate.

Thanks

David

David,

I do not have any trainingsmaterial about Kinematics, but I posted a model a long time ago "User Concept/Sample_ASRSVehicleUsingKinematics_TD" which might help to get into it again.

Good success!

The documentation in the User's Manual about kinematics is pretty thorough. If you take the time to read through it, you should be on your way in no time.

Thanks. May be with some examples in the manual will help us easier to understand the material. I find it quite hard to understand.

Im using the trial, and attempting some kinematics such as movable parts on an object. From what I gather, you need to load an object into another object as a container. Can I do this using an 'onreset' trigger? I cannot see the tree view in the trial which limits my ability somewhat.

My example - say you create your own simple robot arm. It has a base, and only a single arm component (no other joints). The arm is a swivel, picks up the object and places it in a transporter. Now I know that would use a coordinated task sequence, but just for the arms' creation can you:
1)Place 2 x task executers, BasicTE1 (the base) and BasicTE2 (the arm)
2) onReset on the task executer BasicTE1
nodeinsertinto(BasicTE1);
nodeadddata(last(BasicTE1), BasicTE2);
<add kinematic inits>

You just found out why it is called the trial version. There are limitations!!!!!

I'm not sure what you want to do with the trial version. If you want to use a robot or know if it is possible, check out the AR robot library by Kris Geisberger. http://www.flexsim.com/community/for...read.php?t=515

If you want to build one yourself, this is only for the very advanced and with the use of the tree, otherwise you have no idea what exactly is going on, to check where your tasksequence are and where object are exactly placed.

Steven
