Default Is there a Best Practice for modeling a moving rack?

I have to simlate a moving rack. Therefore I need to figure out, if the rack can be accessed to retrieving or storing items. If not the rack has to be moved. How can I model this with FlexSim?

Thanks in advance

Steffen

Hello Steffen,

if you want to prevent any flow to or from the rack, close the input and output of the rack. To simulate the move of the racks there exists several approaches. You can change the position of the rack dynamically in the OnDraw Trigger. You can use kinematics to move the racks or you place the rack into a taskexecuter and let the taskexecuter move them.

You can control the opened or closed racks in a global table. Then you decide wether racks have to be moved or not dependent on their state in the table.
