Unable to set model start time with custom repeating Time Table?
Hello,
I have set up a Time Table with a custom repeat time and it appears this doesn't allow me to set the start time for the simulation. It seems I can only start the simulation at time 0 (Monday 12:00 AM). You can see this by going into the tree and changing the repeattype for a time table to 4 (Custom) and then trying to set the modelstarttime in the tree. When resetting the model the modelstarttime will always revert back to 0. If you set the repeattype to 3 (Weekly) the modelstarttime will instead revert to the start time specified in the settings menu on reset. Is this the intended behavior for custom repeating time tables? Secondly, is there a way to define the bucket size in the GUI for time tables? My custom repeating table is in fact set up to repeat on a weekly schedule but the GUI for weekly tables only allows 15 minute increments and I need 5 minute increments. The daily repeating option has 5 minute increments but that leaves the problem of Saturday and Sunday needing to be different. |

This is by design.
If you set a custom repeating table, then the table values are based on the model start time already. A value of 5 means 5 time units from the model start time. If you change your model's start time, the value of 5 will still mean 5 units from the model start time. That's how custom repeating time tables work. The modelstarttime variable on the time table is not the model's start time. It is a local variable on the time table object that is used in calculating the time table's down times explicitly when you are repeating daily or weekly. The model's start time is stored in MODEL:/Tools/ModelUnits/ModelDateTime/start We are currently working on developing another repeat mode that is like "Custom," but where you specify the start time of the time table. Then each line will be an offset from the time table's start time and changing the model's start time will affect when each of those custom down times happens relative to when the model starts. |
