I want to know the differences between Visual Animation Creator and Kinematics?
And what's are the purpose of them each other?

Same feature?

Or they different from?

Kinematics are used for moving objects to other positions or turning to other angles. After kinematic is finished, you can find out the position in tree under "spatial" I think.

With animations there are just shown motions of parts of objects, for example the arms or legs of operator.

In the case of using 'Over-Head Transporter' like "Kuatran", should I be able to make it only using the Kinematics of BasicTE?

Or Kinematics mixed with Animation Creator?

I am considering which way will be usable to display the lift up/down belt.
Which command will be able to used to simulate the four up/down lifting belts like the Crane object's Cable?

Would you guide it?

I think using only animation creator will make your items jump to the TE. So a mix of animation creator and kinematics would be the way I would do this task. Even if it is a high effort for creating a very clean visualisation.

In animation creator there should be a possibility to add new sub components with the "+" Button in the left up corner. And thisone you could give a shape you created with AC3D/Sketchup which looks like the belts.

You should use the animation creator because you can create very fast and good looking visualisation of your Kuatran. It's the best solution if you know how long your loading process would take.

You can select in which element of the animation objects your item will be drawn. Please look for "Draw Main Object Sub-Content" on the left side in the animation creator. In your TaskExecuter you should deselect "Show Contents" in the general tab (prevent a second drawn object in TaskExecuter). You don't get jumping items with this.

Default I need your help to prevent item's jump in the TE.

I have drawn the over-head vehicle newly with hanging four belts and plate.
Yes. I have created the vehicles with the belted plate to transfer the items using the Animation Creator.
The plate is able to down or up according to the animation name.
I created two animation of UP and DOWN the plate.
In order not to prevent the items to jump into the TE's plate, I am making the logic into the TE and network node and conveyors...

My thinking is right as followed?

1) On TE Arriving at the node, the node close the output port of input conveyor in order for the item not to jump to enter the plate.
2) TE starts the animation of down (the belt plate).
3) When down finished, TE send message to the conveyor to open the output port.
4) Item enters the plate. (It maybe look suddenly jumped horizontally).
4-1) I want to display the item to enter the plate slowly with sliding not jump.
5) TE start the up-animation. But I guess the item can't be up with the plate.
Kinematics will be needed to that?
6) When the up-animation finished, TE start to move.

Is it right?

My Try and Error to make the good logic will be likely to take too long time, I guess.

Carsten. What is your meaning about 'uncheck to show the contents' in general tab.
That is not to show the item in the TE. Is it right?
It does not show the item and Animation shows the item on down-finished?

I want your guide. Sebastian and Carsten.

What is the way to start the animation of TE's up/down lifting animation?

Which event is to write the TE's up/down start animation?
When the STOPANIMATION command is used?

I want the OVER-HEAD TRANSPORTER to be involved in Standard Objects Library when next-upgraded flexsim.
I hope Flexsim will have various objects library like OHT(over head transporter) in order to use them easily and directly not after customizing them.

The customers want these various objects to be involved in the standard library.

I think what Carsten means was, that you should turn off "show content" on TE and create a block that looks like a Item on animation creator. This way it doesn´t matter if real Item jumps around!
The created block could lift up with using animation creator and you wouldn´t need any kinematics ;-)

Yes and no
Yes, the item will not show in the taskexecuter-object with unchecked "Show Contents".
No, because the item will show up in the animation-object with checked "Draw Main Object Sub-Content". This is independent from the "Show Contents" option!

No, you don't have to do this! The real item will be drawn at the position of the animation object.

Default Where trigger is the startanimation command of Animation Creator?

I used startanimation command in Onload trigger of TE.
But the place of OnLoad trigger is not valid.
Which trigger is the place of it used?

My model using Animation Creator has some problems.
1) TE does not stop traveling while the gripper is down according to the startanimation command.
2) After the item jumping into the gripper, the gripper start animation of "Down" according to the command.
I uncheck the 'show content' in general tab and check 'Draw main object sub-content'.
3) TE travels with the state of downed gripper. Before TE traveling, the gripper should move up again. But it does not.

I can't upload the model to this forum.
The 3d shape files are not included in the model automatically.
When the folder of it is changed, the OHT and gripper shape are not displayed.

I need help.

Default In order to make the items not jumped into the gripper...

I want to make OHT moving sequence followed;

1) When OHT arrived at the node, it stopped before the conveyor edge.
2) It is waiting during comuinicating with the conveyor PLC( in real state).
The communicating time is 4 sec.
3) The gripper is moving down during about 6 sec.
4) Item moves to enter the gripper about during 11 sec.
5) The gripper with item is moving up to the home position during about 6 sec.
6) OHT start to move along the pass line.

When arrived at unloading conveyor, it sequences reversely.

Should I use TASKSEQUENCE for doing it?

The smartest solution from my view is to create your own TASKSEQUENCES and let the TE communicate with the PLC. So i would use a Dispatcher that simulates the PLC and insert all communication and delay times in it.

For example you want a TE drive to a position and stop there to communicate with PLC: give TE Tasksequence to drive to the Networknode -> arrived there, send a message to dispatcher to ast what is the next Task ...

Default I finished OHT(Kuatran)_simple_test model and upload it.

Thank you for your kind guide about my issues.

I made the simple test model for Over Head Transporter - Kuatran - animation.

The 3d shapes is included in the model.

If it needs some more features, please make it fixed and upgraded to upload it.

Thank you very much for supporting me till now.

1) OHT move to destination and stop.
2) OHT communicate with PLC during 4 sec (waiting).
3) Gripper move down during 6 sec.
4) Item move to the gripper during 11 second (it is set in setup time).
5) Gripper move up during 6 sec and then start to travel.

1) This model has two animations of Up/Down created by Animation Creator.
2) Conveyor has TaskSequence to the TE in flow tab.
3) And when item entering the gripper, the location is fixed.
