queuing trucks in ct

Hello all

If i wanted to make the trucks queue between the yardblock and quay crane, any idea of how could it be done.

For example, i was trying to use the gatequeue, connecting both the ends to the network nodes, but it does not work.
For detailed understanding I have attached the model. The requirement is is making the trucks queue in the area where I have added the gate queue.

All your guidance would be invaluable.

Exactly what you have understood is the problem, and the solution is suggested is simply the best, I would tell.

I was thinking of lot of complicated solutions instead of this But near the Yard block side, I should have 6 lanes. I would try the same idea with the 6 lanes, and then with many berths.
It should work I hope. I would need your guidance on development of this model further, and thanks a ton

Hello all

I extended the solution suggested by Brito, for the five yardblocks and a single berth. Though having problems at times, it works fine with the traffic controller.

But now, if I wanted the trucks to queue in the next horizontal line, once the queue space is over, I am not sure how should i do that.

For eg, say, the 5 trucks occupy the 5 transfer points.
The 6, 7, 8 th truck occupy the space in the queue. When the 9, 10, 11---trucks start coming, it starts overlapping the position of the 8 th truck itself, in the same queue. Instead of that, can we make the 9, 10, 11 th truck occupying the next queue line?

This happens, only when the particular yard crane operates late, or more trucks are sent to a particular yard block. But still this sould be handled, I hope.

Your guidance would be invaluable. And I am attaching the model in the thread, queuing trucks in ct.

I don´t got a ct license and can´t run your model this way.

But it sounds as if you want to restrict some areas for only a number of taskexecuters. Why you don´t even use another traffic control to count number of trucks in this area!?
