GUI Button Issues
I am using coldlink to pass object variable value through GUI, placed a multi page tab on gui, over that put up a button, basically this button passes parameter when you click over it , unfortunately that is not happening.
Strangely if we put this button outside tab over gui, it does pass although we have copy and pasted same node variables as on outside tab button over inside tab button. In this model also we are using hotlink control attribute to control global variables when we change global variable value that gets reflected on the edit button over gui but when we change values in the edit button that does not get reflected on global variables. Any help is deeply appreciated. Attaching model for reference as well. Thanks in advance. Regards Shashank Trivedi |

Let me explain it again to have more clarity and that could be one of the reason, not got any response till now.
We have created a GUI for model, a very strange thing we noticed over there, it was like. We are using Tab controls in model gui, on which we put up a (middle of tab page) Button control and used apply & close control attributes for it, but when you press it, nothing happens at all, neither closing of gui window nor passing parameter through coldlink linkages wherever applicable. My guess is, it is because of button refers to different object hence does not act when you press it hence we have copy and pasted node values after putting button below tab page (for this button everything was working fine) this process also does n't help us. Kindly advise, we would like to know why it is happening and remedy as well. Regards Shashank Trivedi |

I think that what you are doing is not possible. You can't put a tabpage on a button. So please think of a different solution or try describing what you want to achieve.

Thanks for reply.
It is other way around, i am putting button over tab page, which anybody will do. Thereafter i noticed this problem. However we have completed it by placing button below to tab page but not over it, although visibly it does n't look good. Hoping it is clear now. Regards Shashank Trivedi |

Please check attached bitmap. You did put a tabcontrol in a button. So that is probably why you had so much trouble.
And you put a button as a tab, which is also not good. I think you better watch the movies about creating your own GUI's on the download section. This one http://www.flexsim.com/community/for...do=file&id=130 is about making a custom control GUI. This one http://www.flexsim.com/community/for...do=file&id=131 shows you how to do tabs, exactly what you are trying to do. |
