Model Run Speed Problem

Hi

Is there anyway to make this model run smoother. I'm not sure if its possible? I'm jsut starting it and its already looking too complex.

Summary

18 racks with a combined capacity of 2700 flow items,
9 ASRS Vehicles,

Once all of the rack positions are full it runs really slowly. The spec of my machine is not great (Compaq nc6220 laptop).

Ideally I would like to make this model bigger and add on another 8 racks and 3 more ASRS vehicles but its already looking unmanageable.

If anyone can suggest a similar way of modelling this without showing all of the detail I would be pleased to hear it.

This models runs extremely fast on a computer with a graphics card. See my post here.

You could hide the contents of the racks to make the 3d view display faster on a computer with embedded graphics like your Compaq.
