Installation problem

Hi,

I have come up with the following problem. A client wants to install a project license, but everytime gets the error message: “Flexsim found a hardware key but the license name or user code is invalid”. Now we have checked the dongle here in our office and it worked. I also send the userid.txt to them so they installed that over their current version and still the same message.

Do anybody have an idea where to look? The client is over an hour drive away, so it is not that easy to go there and check what is going wrong.

Have them check if they have same version of Flexsim as you, they should
look under Help->About Flexsim...
It should be the same version and date.

I had a similarly problem with a network license and the problem
was that it was different version of Flexsim between the machine
that the license worked and not.

Thanks Lars-Olof, I think there is a small difference. So I'll give it a try and report back when I know more.

Hi Steven,

for the case you didn´t get it running yet:

1. On some machines the first start of Flexsim after installation has to be via "Flexsim License Activation" from the start menu and not Flexsim directly.

2. If that fails: Create the license file manually and send it to your customer
