Windows Vista
To install Flexsim on the Windows Vista operating system, you must make sure of a few things before you begin.
You MUST install Flexsim as the administrator or with administrator rights. When you run the license activation from the Windows Start>All Programs>Flexsim4>License Activation menu, again, you MUST be the administrator or have administrator rights which includes write permissions to the Flexsim4\program folder. These are the two main items that I have found, that are necessary to successfully install Flexsim on a Vista operating system machine.

If there is problem in capturing the User Id, you could first create the userid.txt using notepad. Then you could paste it under the /Flexsim4/Program folder
