Using the Experimenter
Hello,
I just started using flexsim a week ago for an assignment for one of my classes. Anyway I'm basically modelling an airport checkin system. The problem is this. The airport is looking to optimize the current system by: 1) adding 3 new checkin desks or 2) adding 2 self-checkins I have to justify which system would be better. Anyway, I am trying to use the experimenter to test possible scenarios. THe variables that I would like to change are 1) frequency of conveyor breakdowns 2) number of arriving passengers I have managed to change 2. Passenger arrivals during the day can be from 2400 to 3600. So i've just used a constant value in my source parameters and have added a label called "passengerarrivals". When I run the experimenter, i just change the label numbers to say 2400, 3000, 3400 etc. However, with regards to 1, I am having trouble as the frequency of the breakdowns for conveyors at the moment follow a beta distribution where Lower Limit is 0.6, Upper = 3.4, shape 1 =3.6 and shape 2= 3.9. So I don't know how to change variables here. Help! Lulu |

Why not make this four parameters a label?
Make them a label (on any object in your model) and read them into your distribution (read from the object). And change the labels during the experimenter run. Or do I oversee something?
