Default How do you transport using two different methods

Hello,

I am trying to use a robot to transfer between a processor and a conveyor that are hooked through port number 1 but the processor is hooked up to another conveyor using port number 2. I want the robot to transfer the product on port 1 and i want the operator to transfer the product going to port 2. Is there a way to do this or do I need code written to accomplish this. Thanks.

Hi Derrick,

On the Flow tab under the 'Request Transport From' picklist there is one called 'Multiple Transport Options', which you should select. Change the Value in the template from 'getitemtype(item)' to 'port'. Then against the cases of port listed below that in the template enter the centerport number you want to be used to find the corresponding task executer (robot or operator in your case).

From the template text, here's the description of the transtype values you enter:

0: FlowItem will not use a Transport
1: FlowItem will use the Transport connected to center port 1
2: FlowItem will use the Transport connected to center port 2
n: FlowItem will use the Transport connected to center port n

Attached is a picture showing what the template should look like. You can leave the case3 and deafult case in there as from your description they should not get used.
