If you are an experienced Simulation Engineer, this is a great opportunity to apply your skills and knowledge in our Manufacturing Center of Excellence at Rocket Center near Cumberland MD 21501. This role has been created to specifically contribute to the advancement of Lean Manufacturing. Your background should include creation of simulations of manufacturing processes with the objective of identifying and resolving potential equipment, work flow, inventory, manpower and other issues, in preparation for high volume production. You will be part of a Lean Implementation Team that is changing our culture. You will work under the direction of a Lean expert who teaches Lean at the college level and fully understands the real-time application of simulation and lean principles in manufacturing [h1]Flexsim – Simulation Engineer[/h1] Job Summary: -Gather information and data relevant to construction of valid process models from manufacturing engineers and other personnel -Construct discrete event models representing manufacturing processes using FlexSim -Collect, analyze and present data output from models to diverse stakeholder groups -Present simulation data and explain its relevance to lean concepts and practices in both classroom environments and small interactive groups -Provide guidance in the development of lean processes for new products based on Discrete Event Simulation -Work with minimal supervision. -Provide creative technical and practical solutions to challenging problems Requirements -BS in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing or directly related discipline -3 or more years experience in discrete event modeling of manufacturing and production processes using Flexsim or other simulation software such as Pro Model -Demonstrated understanding of Lean concepts and practices -Willingness to work with Hazardous Materials and energetics -Demonstrated experience analyzing output data from discrete event process models, and communicating recommendations based on this data -Proficient in MS Office tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc; CAD a plus -Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance which requires US Citizenship as a prerequisite; ATF Clearance may also be required Desired -Clear written and oral communication skills -Ability to work with diverse and cross functional teams HOW TO APPLY: In a rush?
