Default How to report setup cost?

Hello

I'm trying different things in the Financial Report to manage setup cost.

The way I understand it is that the object's Fixed Value are only calculated one time without being linked to a change in the item type. The Time Value are a function of the total process time (and not only the setup time). I want to be able to add a fixed cost for every setup (or a variable cost as a function to the setup time). Can somebody have an hint on this problem? My first idea was to double up all machines and dedicate one for the setup and one for the process. I would really prefer not havig to do it this way.

Thanks for any help,

Julien

Default Applying cost to setup

The easiest way to apply a cost to the setup phase of an operation is to assign a value to the state that the object is in during the setup. The value assigned to each state will be multiplied by the amount of time in that state. For example: a Processor is in a Setup state for 2250 minutes during a model run. If I assign a value of -.05 to the Setup state the result for that state is -112.5. This is added to the total result for the object.
