ATTENTIONThis FlexSim Community Forum is read-only. Please post any new questions, ideas, or discussions to our new community (we call it Answers) at https://answers.flexsim.com/. Our new Question & Answer site brings a modern, mobile-friendly interface and more focus on getting answers quickly. There are a few differences between how our new Q&A community works vs. a classic, threaded-conversation-style forum like the one below, so be sure to read our Answers Best Practices. |

What is User Development?
The beauty of Flexsim is that it allows its users to make their own modifications so that the product is more productive for them. Up until now there was no good way for users to share these changes with other users to get feed back.
This section is here to allow users to display the changes that they have made to Flexsim. These changes could be new or modified objects, GUIs, Layouts, or Sessions. Posts in this section should be more than just a tip or trick and definitely should not be gripes as there are already forums for those types of posts. This section is intended for user solutions to gripes and user built objects, GUIs, and views that the user would like to see added to the software in the next release. With this in mind we ask that all users participate in reviewing posts to this forum; the more positive response a post gets the more likely it is to be included in the next release. Long Live the Revolution!

All,
I am posting this as a separate thread to get your attention. I have updated all of the threads in this section to include a poll so that we can get an accurate measurement of people's opinions on the different posts. It is important for as many people to vote as is possible even if it isn't in the positive. If only a few people voice their opinion then it is unlikely that it will be seen as worth the effort to include something in the next release. It is important that we encourage people to share the fruits of their labor. So, if you are appreciative of someone's efforts use the only form of repayment we have and make sure to give them a thanks with the thumbs up button. Thanks to all those that have posted so far and to those who will in the future!

Hi, Brandon, it is great.
But some objects you developed cannot be used in flexsim 4.52, Is there a way to update them? |

Zhang,
The idea behind the user development is that maybe it gets incorporated into the software if it is good / useful enough to the community. So, some of the development might have been incorporated into Flexsim standard and some might have been left behind. The best thing to do would be to make a comment on the thread that contains the development that does not work in the latest version. This way the user developer who created it will know what specific project does not work in the latest version. Then they can respond to you directly about that specific project. Thanks, Brandon
