Kelvin,
A combiner can't process multiple items like a processor. I know that the combiner does contain a node called maxcontent like that of the processor. This is because its superclass is a processor and it inherited this node. The combiner, however, does not use this node (you will notice this if you change the value of this node and run a simulation) so changing its value will not have an effect. Dustin |

Oh, so is there any method to simulate a multi-tasking separator??
E.g. in a fast food shop, the customer need to clear his used utensil in a clearing station, then the customer leaves and utensil will be brought ti cleaning room. Since there is lots of customers, the clearing station should be a multi-tasking to aviod customers stay at their seat just for waiting the cleaning station. |

Hi Phil,
This is a possible solution but if the separator "Maximum Content" is 100 then there would be 100 separator connected pallet, which would be bulky |

You can use a visual tool to put multiple objects together to work together as one object. Attached is an example of this, and how you can change the visuals to look however you want them to look.
Following this example, you can have 100 separators working in parallel without being "bulky". |

So this means that the maximum content stands for the number of items which could be processed simulataneously. So the maximum content cannot be used as a queue to replace a "normal" queue in front of the processor?
Thanks Congshi |
