Connecting a vehicle to control point on the path

I want to connect a vehicle to a control point on the AGV path by a script. I tried to use "contextdragconnection" command, but it seems not enough to automate the popup selection for the connection type (Traveler AGV or Destination). How can I specify the connection type in a code without actually popping up the menu?
