Default Using subfolders in the model tree for organisation

Hi,

In case someone wants to use folders in the model tree e.g. to group different kinds of objects it is easy to achieve using visual tools. In larger models this can help to keep the model organised. If you use normal folders the contents inside them will not be visible.

See the quote from Ryan at Flexsim below:
Quote:
The best way to accomplish what you want is to use visual tools to organize your model. This will allow your tree to be organized and the objects will draw and function normally. You could then turn off the 3d shape if you don't want the containing visual tool to be visible and you could use the edit selected objects menu to move objects out of their containers and back into the model and also move selected objects into a highlighted object otherwise you could copy and paste within the tree to organize your hierarchy.
Note: When using visual tools the coordinates of the contents of the visual tool are relative to the coordinates of the visual tool. If you want to use the normal (=model) coordinate system for the object coordinates just place the visual tool at the model origin (0,0,0).

If you want to use the model coordinates in a visual tool, or multiple nested visual tools, use the vectorproject functions.
