Taskexecuterflowitem with A*Star

Just to share what I have discovered with the TE flowitem using the A*Star navigator. The advantage of using this is you do not need to build the network.

Step:
1. Download A*Star Navigator
2. Drag A*Star navigator into model space.
3. Go to flowitem Bin.
a. Open the properties of the TE flowitem
b. Choose A*Star as the navigation tool (Below)
4. At the Source,
a. Choose TE flowitem.
b. Turn on Use Transport and choose use TE is flowitem from the picklist.
5. Drag prefered path from the A*Star library.
a. start from the Source and end with the ending FR.

To continue from this FR to other FR, just repeat step 4 to 5.

Adding the TaskExecuterFlowItem to the A* Navigator in the FlowItem Bin will not properly add the TE flow items to the A* Navigator. The latest release of the A* Module (v1.0.8 for FlexSim 7.3) has a new picklist AStar: Task Executer as Flowitem added to the Use Transport picklist that will add your TE flow item to the A* Navigator and send it downstream. You can use the same picklist for subsequent moves, or use the standard Task Executer as Flowitem picklist.
