Timing in Dashboard
Hi all,
1) May I ask what does the timing in the dashboard means? 2) Another thing is that the distribution that I got from Expertfit beta(0.98876, 30.54253, 1.29495, 7.11955, 0) does not reflect to the real data. The max timing is 15.93 minutes, minimum is 1.01 minutes and average is 5.54844 minutes but it is not the same as the dashboard. Cheers |

I think you may be interpreting "Milestones" incorrectly. A milestone time in FlexSim HC is the time (in minutes) from when the patient arrived (i.e. created by the Patient Arrivals object) to the time the "milestone activity" finishes. In your example, the "milestone activity" is called "Consultation". A milestone time is NOT a cycle time for an activity!
I also think you are misinterpreting what "Minimum", "Maximum" and "Average" mean in the dashboard. These terms refer to the minimum, maximum, and average value for the milestone times recorded for multiple patients. |

Hi Cliff,
Thanks for the clarifying the doubt. However, may i ask how should I go about finding the time spent at each milestone in the simulation? (In this case it's the consultation timing) In fact, we wanted to validate the simulation results with my raw data. |

I don't like the way you phrased your question about the "time spent at each milestone" because it infers that milestones are a duration, and they're not. They are a point in time at which a patient completes a specific activity.
We have dashboard metrics that will subtract times associated with two different milestones that occurred during the stay of a patient. This is called the milestone-to-milestone metric. |
