Version 4.30

We have finished the beta testing period for Flexsim version 4.3. We would like to thank all of those who actively participated in this exercise.

We are now in the process of implementing some of the problems and suggestions generated by the beta test. We are also busy completing the documentation associated with the new changes, and overhauling the documentation of the flexscript commands. We also need some time to complete a new licensing scheme for a new educational version of the software.

Thursday, January 31, 2008 will be the official release date for Flexsim Version 4.3.

To see the changes for the new release, you can:

We just posted an updated beta version of Flexsim v4.3 dated January 15th to the Flexsim web site's User Login page (https://account.flexsim.com/downloads). As usual, any user with an active maintenance contract will be able to login and download the beta install. All the little problems found with the beta version over the last month should be fixed now (the compiling problem is fixed if you use the standard installation options available in the Flexsim Compiler Configurator; but shortly after posting the beta, we noticed a problem if the custom installation options behind the "Advanced" button are used - we'll get this fixed). We also added a new Startup Wizard that pops up when Flexsim first starts to guide new users to the sample models and tutorials.

We are using the 4.3 version in our Basic Training course being held this week. If everything checks out okay during the training class, we should still be on schedule for an official release date of January 31st.

Flexsim 4.3 is officially released! Users who are current on their maintenance contracts can login to the User Login site and download this new release now.

To login, just go to the flexsim.com home page and click on the "User Login" link in the top right corner of the window, or follow click this link https://account.flexsim.com/downloads to get to the login site directly.
