Default Using a Tote for picking products and placing them inside it

The Pallet FlowItem has some extra nodes for automatically set the proper location according to the size of the products on it.

If you need to put some products inside a Tote, create a new flowitem based on the Pallet Flowitem (from Tools > FlowItem Bin) and then change the 3D shape to Tote browsing to the following location inside of the directory where FlexSim was installed:

fs3d\FlowItem\Tote.3ds

What it's important for FlexSim is the yellow cube, the one you see when you click on it.

To avoid having the products on top of the Tote (like the pallet) you need the change the size and shape factors for having them inside the tote.

Take a look at the image below as an example of how to do it.

Or you can download the following tote library, opening in your model from the open menu of the library and dragging it onto the layout. Just remember to UNZIP the file "Tote based on Pallet" first.

It should apperar on your FlowItem bin, ready to go out if you select this "TOTE" from the source flowitem list.

It has the proper values (that you can modify) to place correctly the products inside the tote, as you can see on the other image.

Now you can use a combiner with the "Pack" option and have the products come inside this tote, just like in the example modelo below.

Hope this helps.
Jorge.
