Mass Evacuation Model

Greetings,

I seem to recall seeing a model of a mass evacuation of people leaving an area in response to an explosion. Does anyone recall that model and do you know if a copy resides in the community forum. I can't seem to find a copy of it.

I´m quiete not sure if Flexsim is the right Software to build this scenario. But would be very interessting if you find anything about a solution with Flexsim.

Danny, I think that I know which model you mean. The one where all the beds are placed in the jungle and the ambulances drive on and off. I think that an airplane crash was simulated. But I don't know where that model is, maybe ask Bill.

This model was built by Eamonn with an early version of the DS engine as an example of how you can model agent-based simulations using Flexsim. It wasn't built with standard Flexsim objects in standard Flexsim, but the concepts he showed could all be done with standard Flexsim.

The model showed a bunch of buildings and a bunch of people running around in the streets between the buildings. Then a bomb goes off, and all the people run away from the explosion location, avoiding buildings and each other.

As Steven mentioned, Bill also had a sample model of a crashed airplane in the jungle with stretchers and ambulances. I think this model was just an example that showed off Flexsim's graphical capabilities to help people see various ways that simulation could be used.
