emulating physical connection
Hi everybody,
I have got some boxes which needs one and some which need two transporter to transport by collaboration. When the box needs to I call two transporter to arrive and collect it. BUT: 1) I need to show in my simulation that this two intelligent transporters connect to each other and all the way towards destination they are connected and when they are unloaded get disconnected. That is they actually tavel like being connected physically! 2) at an intersection where two groups of loaded "on-mission" transporters arrive at the same time at certain node, like 2->1(2 follows 1) and 4->3 and go the same edge do not arrive at the edge like: 2->4->1->3 or similar way. rather they appear together like 2->1 4->3 for every pair of collaborator or for example for 2->1 and 3 they do not arrive at certain edge like 2->3->1 which means actually the collaborators are separated and disconnected. Any constructive comment appreciated. |

Hello Shahin,
do think, you can load or move one collaborative transporter in the other one and change then the shape of the not loaded transporter. It is a standard coordinated tasksequence example. If you have two separated taskexecuter on coordinated tasksequence and you don't load one in another, but the maximum speed is different, they don't move like a pair. Jörg |

Hey Joerg,
Thanks for your comment-- constructive as always. Yeah, I have used that for a while but there are two things: 1) the statistics whih you are going to collect later on does not show that the internal transported was utilized as far as I could understand. 2) the demostration looks not too nice. have you seen an example fo changing the shape on the flexsim forum? best regards, Shahin |
