Combining More than One item of the same type
Hello all,
I have a process where I need to bacth 20 items of the same item type together so they can be sent to a rack. I tried modeling it in a way where the operator has a 20 items capacity, but the thing is I want to combine them at once under one bundle. Later, i need to have those items picked separately from the rack Please help! Thanks Hani |

Why you don´t use a Combiner / Seperator for these Tasks? Set the machines to use operator. This way it will be as if the operator does these Tasks.
If this didn´t help you, maybe an example Model could help to figur out, what you´re trying to do.

Hi,
you can sort the items by their type. if you combine this with close-/open -input/-output, you can get 20 items by same itemtype in a queue to deliver them. Some of that is shown in the attached model Jörg sortitemtypes.fsm Last edited by Jörg Vogel; 12-03-2014 at 03:11 AM. |
