Record multiprocessor states
Hi,
Multiprocessors have their own states (e.g. Process1 = 51, Process2 = 52). I would like to record the state profile in an excel sheet. To plot a state graph using Recorder/Standard Data/State works fine (attached model). To generate a table plotting all state events works also (Recorder/User-Defined Data/Table/state_current) - but to generate the state profile (time & time fraction of the different states) would need further calculations in excel. The Flexsim report doesn't consider non-standard states (>50). Is there a simple way to have the state profile in a report or excel sheet? Thanks! |

I guess the issue is that if you have more than one MultiProcessor with different process names, the report would get confusing because the 51st state node represents different states for different objects.
Understanding this, here is a way to get your data into the report. 1. Statistics > Reports and Statistics > State Report | Generate Report with say just the idle state chosen. This will create a Charting folder in the Tools folder in your model tree. 2. In the tree view, dive into Tools/Charting/statereport/statelist and add a folder node with numerical data (click on the idle folder, then spacebar to create below. Click on new node, then "n" for number data). Name it something generic like "state51" and give it the number 51. 3. Build Flexscript, under the Build menu (not sure this is necessary) 4. Generate Report again, this time state51 will be shown in the States to Report list. |

Hi Kris,
The state report works fine now, thanks! Unfortunately the full report doesn't work anymore with the node added. ...the full report can be generated, the node added, and the state report generated - the file shouldn't be saved afterwards. |
