Questions about X-supermarket model

Hello.
Recently, I downloaded the X-supermarket model, and have studied how this model works.
Is there anyone can answer my questions about this model?

In this model,
1. How is the global table used?
2. How does the model make customer pick up several items while they are traveling around in the supermarket?
3. Customers pick up items in their carts, instead, is it possible to make customer just carry several items without carts?
4. What code makes a bagger takes the customer's cart and get it back to the customer?

Thank you so much for your help.

PS: In this model, global task sequence can be used for any customer or operator?
