Licences not shown on reboot
We have an IBM Server on which the Flexsim server is installed. We followed the whole procedure correctly as per the Licencing handbook.. Similarly Flexsim was installed on the client systems.. Upon succesfull installation, FLEXNET publisher was showing all the licences and we were also able to work on the client systems.. However, upon restarting the server, FLEXNET publisher does not show the 20 licences, and is showing only demo licence.. We had to reinstall the licence manager and then only the licences were shown up..
At the end, we understood that, upon restart the server is loosing the licences and we need to perform uninstall and install procedure again.. However, I feel that this is not the way a server should work.. Irrespective of the reboot, the licences should be retained by the server.. What is this problem & how to solve this? Please help.. |

Hi,
There are many possibility to the problem. Is your flexsim.exe running? Has it been excluded in the firewall? If you have many types of flexnet licenses in the server, using LMTool will be easier. David
