some question about 5.02 changing

i find the 5.02 use command "opavailable",but the user manual do not introduce it.
and i find that there is BackgroundEditor in view tree in 5.02,but there is not the gui to use it, BackgroundEditor is more convenient, in 3.0 there is BackgroundEditor. Why don't keep this function.
