Problem with Optquest
HI,
I attached a small model discribing a problem I got when testing Optquest: I would like to optimize the output of a simple line (source-conveyor-sink) by modifying the conveyor lenght. The problem is that optquest will test the scenarios but the user-controlled variable (Output) didn't change with these scenarios, It stay with the value based on the initial conveyor lenght! Is the choice of the "conveyorlenght" variable as a decision variable the problem? Thanks and best regards, Simon |

Simon,
You change the variable conveyorlength. But you need to change the variable length: >variables/sections/section 1/length because this is the section length which will update the other variables (conveyorlength and seclength).

Hi,
You could also use the Virtual Length for the conveyor the variable name for this is userlength. Lars-Olof |
