It looks at your planner schedules (Ship Schedule and/or Gate Arrivals table) and back-calculates what would be in the yard based on what would have happened in the last three weeks. It uses the container dwell times and also the container placement rules that are specified. That way, for example, containers that should have already arrived and are scheduled to be loaded and shipped out, will appear in the yard for the first week.
It does all the initialization calculations for you rather than having to run the model for 3 weeks as a warmup time before getting valid results. |

Is it posibble to initialize according to a real production database (which is used by a real terminal)?

Not directly. It is possible to import model data from excel using the Flexsim CT Excel Import feature. Before that, you would need to convert your data from the real production database into the format used by the berth planner. Although possible, it would probably be a difficult task.

I read the excel template, but didn't find anything about initialize data.
What I want is initializing yard according to real situation. Any idea? thanks |

There is no direct way to set up initialization data. The initial state of the model is based on the way the Berth, Yard, and Gate Planners are set up. It back-calculates what would be in the yard based on what would have happened in the last three weeks. So the closest thing you can do is set up your planners to make it so that the initialization mechanism is close to your real situation.
