Step-by-step instructions for editing an AutoCAD drawing and successfully importing it into Flexsim as a scaled background drawing. CAD layouts are imported into Flexsim to aid in positioning objects in the model, and can also enhance the visualization of the model. Although the document was generated using AutoCAD LT 2007, all the instructions are command based rather than menu based s0 as to apply to other versions.
