This FlexSim Community Forum is read-only. Please post any new questions, ideas, or discussions to our new community (we call it Answers) at https://answers.flexsim.com/. Our new Question & Answer site brings a modern, mobile-friendly interface and more focus on getting answers quickly. There are a few differences between how our new Q&A community works vs. a classic, threaded-conversation-style forum like the one below, so be sure to read our Answers Best Practices.
This video depicts a simple logistics network modeled and captured using Flexsim and edited with Windows Movie Maker.
These models can become as detailed as the user wishes - so much could be added!
1. Operators could get off the scooters, pick up a box, load it onto the scooter, then get on, drive to the destination, get off, unload the box, repeat.
2. Additional props could be thrown in - trees, streets, traffic, etc.
3. Complexity of layout and behavior could be added to the network for the main delivery vehicle. A network could be added for the scooters, including traffic rules to avoid collisions.
4. and on, and on.
As this was just a demo mock-up, we didn't go into that much detail, but the possibilities using Flexsim really are endless.
