Default Process Flow - Resource Utilisation & Shifts

I'm trying to work with a process flow and resources.
In 2 parts I'd like to restrict the work carried out by staff (Operators in a group using the PF Resource tools) by putting them on a shift pattern. However even when the staff are off shift this is not reported in the utilisation (all show idle) and work is carried out in the off shift period.
Is it possible to put time based controls on resources in the PF library?

Hi Michael,

As far as I know the PF doesn't know if a resource is on or off shift.

The way I solved it recentlly was by using a time table to set a global variable. Then in PF let the tokens pass a decision point after an operation and check whether the break has started and then keep them in a wait for event till the break is finished.

Ofcourse this doesn't work if they work on a long process and the break falls in the middle of that process or if they really have to stop at a certain moment.

Thanks Steven, I was looking at those sort of ideas. In this case it is an appointment/schedule driven part of the process so should work with that. I hope in future it can read/interact with the 3d objects a bit better.
