Post User Event repeating problem

My model is very similar to the model in user manual which teaches how to set User Event.
Here is what the event setup in the user manual model:

There is a busy event (the creation of flow item is shorter twice) which occurs every 200 seconds and lasts for 100 seconds.
It defines the "busytime"= 100 for First Event Time and 200 for Repeat Event Time.
Another event is "SlowTime"= 0 for First Event Time and 200 for Repeat Event Time.

But now, my model needs a busy event which occurs every 2700 seconds and lasts for 300 seconds.
It is hard to define the like user manual model because the events may overlap.

For example, busytime = 2700 for First Event Time and 2700 for Repeat Event Time.
SlowTime= 0 for First Event Time and 600 for Repeat Event Time.
At 3000th seconds, busytime will finish and have lasted for 300 seconds.
However, at 5400 seconds, the events will overlap because 5400 is common multiple for 600 and 2700.

How can I set the busy time occurs every 2700 seconds and lasts for 300 seconds EVERYTIME in my model? (the other time there should be a slowtime(not busy))

Thank you.

also one more question, how can I set the source creation to be a fixed quantity?

for example, a source will only create 90 items in whole simulation and will not create anymore.

Hi,Ka
Not quite understand your first question, but the second question you can try the Arrival Schedule or Arrival Sequence in Arrival style of Source.

Let me use an example to illustrate my question : There is a machine and will create a box. The inter arrival time of the box is 50 seconds. Every 100 seconds passed, there will be a busy time for production. The interval arrival time of the box created by the machine will be 25 seconds (1/2 original time).

The setting is simple, using user event to illustrate this example:

There is a "busy event" (the creation of flow item is shorter twice) which occurs every 200 seconds and lasts for 100 seconds.
It defines the "busytime"= 100 for First Event Time and 200 for Repeat Event Time.
Another event is "SlowTime"= 0 for First Event Time and 200 for Repeat Event Time.

At Time 0 to 100, the production time is normal (50seconds).
At Time 100 to 200, the production time is 25 seconds because of "busytime" user event.
At Time 200 to 300, the production time will become normal again.

This is what I want to have in my model. Now the problem is :

my model needs a busy event which occurs every 2700 seconds and lasts for 300 seconds.

Sorry, Ka
I still don't quite understand.
Do a new busytime start from 5400s?
In other words, It should be clearly whether the 5400s to 5700s is a busytime or not.
I am confused that you said slowtime start in 0, and you also said slowtime repeat every 600s. If only two types of time: busytime and slowtime, the slowtime Events should be triggered after 300s(The length of busytime). If you have a third type of time (NormalTime maybe), you should decide what "time" it will be after 5400s.

"slowtime" means normal time. What I want is just want to set a user event which

1: can ensure that every "busytime" last for same period (300s)

2: can ensure that every 2700s "busytime" is going to happen

Thanks~

I make it clear: the "slowtime"= normal time of production. However, 600s repeating time is just a example.

It is not reasonable for me to set many many "slowtime" events to ensure every "busytime" event can last for 300seconds. This is because my model will run a very long time. I need to use repeat event function.

Thanks

Hi,Ka
Maybe you can try to set first event time of "slowtime" event 3000s and repeat event time 2700s.
Don't forget to check the "repeat event".
