Default Decimal Point Number Precision

Hi,

I found this Thread in the forum.

/threads/thread313

Is this problem solved? I didn' t found anything in the forum.

I have the same wish like Alan:

"This option unfortunately will set all numbers in the model displayed 4 digits since it is a global setting. I wish there is an "number precision" attribute associated with each GUI control to overwrite the global setting locally."

Does anybody knows something about this option?

Thanks
Michael

Default

Flexsim's GUIs still use the global precision value when opened. You could write your own code for specific widgets to use higher precision in OnOpen code using commands such as setviewtext() and numtostring() so that it shows a value with more or less precision than the global value.

The issue Cliff mentioned with the hotlink attribute would still apply, but you could use a hotlinkx attribute instead with the above commands to force it to show a specific number precision rather than the default.
