Default Resource and Equipment

Hi,

I would like to ask a help on modeling resource movement using elevator.

Flowitem (Pallet) needs to be delivered to lower level to upper level in a facility. It requires a fork lift truck with an operator to travel from the end of palletizer to the pallet elevator. Once the pallet is loaded on to the elevator, the operator off the truck and use other elevator to go up seperately. The lift truck is parked at the lower level. The operator get another truck at the opper level to load the pallet delevered by the pallet elevator, and move to next destination (dock or storage)
I have a trouble to make logic for attaching and detaching the operator and lift truck, and letting the operator use the elevator. By the way, the operator or fork truck follows a certain path network in each level.

Could anyone give me an advice on how to approach? Or, any reference model I can study with?

Thanks for your help in advance.
Sung

Sung,

To do this I would use a coordinated task sequence. You will have to build it your self and you will need a seperate task executer for the operator, fork lift, and elevator. I would use this post as a starting point: http://www.flexsim.com/community/for...read.php?t=548

Good Luck,
Brandon
