Default Quick Properties Missing

Hi

My Quick Properties GUI went missing. I have tried to reopen the QP from View, using applicationcommand("quickproperties"), Edit Selected Object and others that work with QP. It just can't open.

I can't see the main tree.

Help! Help me to find my QP back!!

Thanks

David

Hi David,

I cannot reproduce such behaviour in flexsim. I could destroy the object Quick Proberties view. Then I wasn't able to open it again in the session. The menu was back when I loaded the model again. As a workaround I would save the Quick Proberties node to the disk from another model and load it to the model, which behaves strange. But it is difficult to test your described behaviour without a faulty model.

You can also try View > Open Default Workspace to get your workspace back into a good condition if something unexpected happened with the windowing system.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I tried what Bobo has suggested. It can't work. In the end, I import the model into a new model to solve the problem.

Prior to the problem I was using two screens. The quick properties in one screen and the model in another. Some how I log out the computer in that mode. When I open the model again, that is what I found.

Regards

David

I've seen this happen sometimes, but it's very hard to replicate. Usually, if you open a tree window and go to VIEW:/active>Tools/QuickProperties, there will be a coupling subnode in there that points to some view in the view tree. If you delete that view from the view tree, then open quick properties, it should work (if this is indeed the same problem that I've seen).
