Default Batch Processing

hi ppl,

May i know the processor > setup process > batch processing, what does the batch processing stand for? If the batch processing content is set at 10 and the maximum content is also 10,
1. does processor only starts processing after the 10th flowitem is in the processor,
2.or before the 10th flowitem is in the processor, the flowitems in the processor has already begun processing.

Hello Vin,

Answer 2 is correct.
This template sets the processtime or setuptime for the following flowitems of one batch to the same time as the first flowitem of the batch.

Vin,

If you are interested in the equivalent of answer 1, see this thread.

I think the "Batch Processing" pick option is best used with a Queue in front of the Processor. See the attached model for some ideas.

Also, if you are transporting the batch you might find this post useful.
