Default How to control randomness with import pickup?

Hello,

I would like to be able to specify the bay and height of the next import container to be picked up. To my knowledge, the location of the import container when it is picked up by a truck is random. Does anybody know how to get around this feature?

Thanks,
Nathan

With the current release, there isn't a way to define the location of an import container to be picked up. That is determined by the stacking strategy that was used to put the container into the stack, and to some extent by the dwell time of the container, i.e. the time that the container went into the stack relative to the time that it comes out of the stack.

In the next release, however, you will be able to directly move a container to any spot at any time, so you can essentially define where the container should be picked up.

Default Thank You

Anthony,

Thank you for your response. If possible, could you let me and other Flexsim CT users know when to expect the next release? Hopefully soon. I am looking forward to it.

Thanks,
Nathan

Right now we're hoping for March for the next release, but we keep getting side-tracked away from CT development. Most of the features are already there, we just have to wrap things up, round stuff out, do some testing, etc.
