Default Question regarding 2 "in-line" gate processes

I have 2 gate processes, one in front of the other. Truck 1 will go to processor 1, and a truck following truck 1 will goto processor 2 since processor 1 is in use. Processor 2 may finish before processor 1, but cannot release truck until processor 1 finishes and releases truck 1. From there the truck released from processor 2 will bypass processor 1. How do I model this? Thanks for any help .

Attached is a model that shows one way that you could model this situation. It uses two GateProcesses in series within a visual tool so that you can then duplicate that visual tool easily or add it to a custom user library to drag more into other models.

The way the model works:
The first GateProcess adds a label to the truck OnEntry that tells it at which GateProcess it should be processed. Then the ProcessTime function checks the label and returns a time period if it should be processed there or it returns 0 if it was/will be processed at the other station.

There is also code on each GateProcess that sets its color based on what it is doing so that you can see that if the back process finishes before the front process, it waits until the front process is finished to release the truck.

Hopefully it makes sense. Let me know if you have any questions about it.

Can we have two paralell gates(not in line)?
There is a long distance between this two gates.

(I do not mean a gateprocess with maximum content > 1)

I tried to put two berth planners in the model, but failed.
thanks
