Is there a procedure for Flexsim CT users to install Flexsim 5?

CT Users can get their new license the same way as regular Flexsim users and use the Flexsim 5 Beta.

Although we haven't released a new version of CT that uses the new licensing scheme, when we do, you will already be licensed and ready to go.

Development,

I don't know if this can still be solved in 5 but anyway here it is.
If I set the runspeed from something high (say 4000) to 1 (so realtime) the clock overshoots quite a bit. I made a simple test with 3 userevents. The first to set the runspeed high on reset. The second to set the runspeed to 1 after 1000 seconds and the 3rd to show a message after 2000 seconds.

If you set the runspeed very high you get the message immediately even if the runspeed should have been set to 1. If you set to an intermediate value it overshoots with some time depending on the high runspeed.

Isn't it possible that it immediately steps to realtime? We are looking into some emulation and there it might be very usefull to change to realtime when you wait for a reply from an external system.

Just so I'm clear, Flexsim CT users will not be able utilize the added features of Flexsim 5 until a new Flexsim CT version comes out?

The CT library does not work with Flexsim 5 yet. If you are building a model in regular Flexsim, you will be able to use the new Flexsim 5 features. If you are building a model that requires the CT library, you will not be able to use the new Flexsim 5 features until Flexsim CT 3.0 comes out.

Steven,

This issue has always existed; it isn't related to the Flexsim 5 beta and should have been sent to the Development list rather than posted here. I've now added it to the development list.

Default Multiple Monitor Support

This is the same on V4.x and V5.0.
When I open Flexsim and move it to a second monitor and then maximize it, and then start a new model, it opens everything for the new model on the First monitor.
It would be nice to have all child windows open on whichever monitor the host/main window is located.

I realize you guys just love to blast us with new feature requests the week before we make the final release, but especially since we are so close to the final release, let's keep it to testing on the features that are already there. If you have a new feature request, please send it to the development list.
Thanks

We've posted a new beta, we'll call this beta 4. If you have the time, please go through and double check that the bugs you've reported have been fixed. You'll need to uninstall/reinstall if you've already installed the beta.

One week to the final release!

Hi,

In the download area, it says "March 29". Is it the wrong date or the wrong installer?

It's looks like it's just the date - the files within are the new build: 8th April. The 'About Flexsim' also states the engine is built 29th March.

Sorry, I'll have Ben update the date. The engine build date we forgot to update as well (eventually this should be an auto-generated thing, but for now it's manual).

Yeah, a lot of the media textures we used were 1024x1024, which in most cases was much higher resolution than was necessary, so we dropped those down to 512x512.

Do you have to return the license before you uninstall/reinstall the newest version?
