Bill,

I don't know, if this is the best, but this is used by some of our customers in Germany. The software's name is Preactor:

Default Preactor is one of my business solution in Korean market.

Preactor scheduling software has the features of detail sequencing engine.
It has two types of sequencing engine and both can be customized freely by consultant during implementation in customer site.

One is order based sequencing - forward(push), back-ward(pull) and bi-direction(TOC).
The other is event based scheduling like Flexsim.
The event Based scheduling is called as SImulation Based Scheduling.

If you want to know more about it, I can explain it.

Regards.

Asprova can not support the event based scheduling but only order based scheduling.

Default Update?

Scheduling is a big issue in my country, particularly timetables, supply-chain and staffing.

Are there any other schedulers that would be worth considering - thinking of Drools Planner but it seems difficult to use.
