Default Ideas on multiple item delivery?

I am trying to model food delivery processes in a hospital and am searching for a way to have staff batch orders and group them for delivery.

Any ideas on how to get started modeling the process would be appreciated.

Thank you

Hi Andrew,

Isn't it maybe a better idea to simulate this in normal Flexsim? Else you can use a "Item combining" object. This can be used to batch items.

Hope this helps you.

Joris

Default Use Patient Rounds

I definitely think you want to stick with Flexsim HC for this project. The approach that I would take would be to use the Item objects to create "orders" and then batch those orders according to how many will need to be made in a delivery. I would then use this delivery to set off your Start Activity and would have a staff member pick up the order and have it make the delivery by using the Patient Rounds picklist option. Keep in mind that you will need to update those Patient Rounds on the fly in your model since I would assume that the locations of those deliveries would change as the day moves forward.
