Default Animation Creator - Add tool to TE hand

I am trying to place a work tool in an operators hand. When an object is added via the animation editor to a default TE, the animation scaling gets messed up as soon as the first animation to walk starts. (Does not mess up if model units are in Meters and TaskExecuter size remains default). Problem is occurring in my current model which is in Feet, but TE's size is default. Anyone know how to fix this?
