Lightbulb Video Tutorials

All,

This thread will be the location for any video tutorials that I (and anyone else who feels inclined) create.

With that in mind here are the first two!

This video will walk you through how to create flowitems on reset:

This video will show you how to edit the item type, labels, and color of the items created in the last video:

Good Luck,
Brandon

Default Alternative method for creating Flowitems on reset

All,

Just an little hint: You'll notice a differene in some of the videos because they have the black bars on the top and bottom when they are embedded in the forum like the ones I have posted. The videos with the bars are high-def (1280x720) videos and the ones without the bars are low-def (640x480). I would suggest watching the high-def videos at youtube instead of as embedded on the forum.

Here is a quick overview of an alternative to using triggers to create flowitems on reset:

I have attached the model used in this video.

Good Luck,
Brandon

I work at a place that also blocks YouTube videos. Can you put the original video on your own servers and provide a link that I could right-click and Save As...? That usually provides a better alternative for those of us who have blocked streaming video. Thanks.

All,

I have added all three videos to the downloads section. They are the originals so they are a little better quality than what you get on Youtube.

Default How have the tutorials been created?

All of the above tutorials have been created with Camtasia Studio. Camtasia is a screen capturing software that allows you to go through the whole process in only one software. It is a tad expensive but it works well for me. Here is the link to their website: http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.asp
You can download the trial which allows you to use the software with no limitations for 30 days.

Good Luck,
Brandon
