Default Help with Robot

Hello All,

Since this is my first post, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Larry Goins and I am an Independent Consultant and I live in Maryville, TN. I have a lot of simulation modeling experience(I have been working as an independent consultant since 1987) but I am new to flexsim. To this point, my skills are in other discrete event products such as Automod, Arena/Siman, GPSS, etc. The reason for my post is this. I am looking for a volunteer who can help me with a few questions I have concerning robots. One of the reasons I purchased flexsim is because I occasionally model packaging rooms and I like the potential flexsim has for this type of application. Any volunteers who could spend 1/2 hour on the phone with me sometime in the near future?

Thanks,
Larry

Hi Larry,

Just following-up on our Robot 101 session today. Please post any questions you may have to the following thread (ideally simple questions ):
http://www.flexsim.com/community/for...read.php?t=515

As we discussed, read the Articulated Robot Library Help pdf included in the library download at: http://www.flexsim.com/community/for...do=file&id=137
Also, read the section on Task Sequences in the Flexsim help files.

Larry,

I am not sure if you saw it, but there are also a few demo models I built with the robot. Maybe they are also a good start to understand the robot.

Demo_PalletRobot_TD

Demo_RobotKUKA_TD

Demo_RobotHandoff_TD

There are also a bunch of other robot models. So a lot of stuff to learn from.
