Default Nibbles

All,

To maybe tide you over until the CTS system gets posted I am going to post a game I made in Flexsim called nibbles.

In the view that opens you can right click and then press "Reset Game" to start a new game. You will be the Red worm. To move use the 'w' for up, 'a' for left, 's' for down, and 'd' for right. If you are going right and then try to go directly left you will die (ie no 180's / doubling back on yourself). The object of the game is to trap and kill the other worms so that you get their length added on to yours. All worms will grow longer over time. If you die you will be reset back to the original length, or the original length plus 1/4 your old length if you managed to kill yourself (that will happen a lot). At a designated time the game will end and the color of the winner(s) will be displayed on the screen.

There is also a two player mode that you can get to by right clicking on the screen. The second player uses the number pad and keys '8', '4', '5', and '6'. The num lock has to be on. Two player is much more fun than one but there are some issues with minor delays caused when a lot of keys are being pressed all at once. I'm hoping to move this into 4.5 to see if the increased speed in Flexscript will eliminate the delays.

Have fun,
Brandon

On a similar note, I wrote this asteroids game. I made it with Flexsim 4.5, but I think it should work with 4.32.

When you open the model, press run. Then click on the game to give it keyboard focus. Press A or J to turn left, D or L to turn right, W or I to accelerate, and press space to shoot. There are a few settings in Tools>Global Variables>Global Macros to change the game a little.

I upgraded the fighter and added a setting for a space fighter image index to Alex's asteroids game. If you add your own, the image should be square and pointing to the right.
