Default FlexSim interface to OpenOffice

Hello,

I wanted to check why it is not possible to read from and write to OpenOffice spreadsheets instead of Excel? I really appreciate, if interfacing to open source software would be possible with FlexSim.

Thanks a lot,
Katharina

Yes. You just change to the path of Excel to the right application.

Default OLE Automation Error

Thanks David,

I did set the path correctly in the settings, but whenever I like to open a file it says "Could not connect to Excel". Any other ideas? Also I cannot copy and paste manually from sheets into FlexSim tables or vice versa...

Appreciate if anyone could let me know how to get this working :-)

Thanks,
Katharina

Kat

I can print the report to open office, but I can't import. Same as the problem that you are having. Can you cut and paste?

By the way, if you can save the file as .csv then you are still able to import to the table.
