Default Compatibility with Vector Map (VMAP) GIS maps

Does anyone know if Flexsim can load Vector Maps (VMAPS) directly or via a conversion process?

Hey Kenny -

I worked for a GIS company for a number of years. I would say I spent 90% of my days writing data conversion scripts. GIS data is always about getting it in the right format and/or converting to a meaningful coordinate system.

I would suggest you find something like we have here in the states - DEMs or Digital Elevation Models. DEMs are basically a 3D model of the terrain that you could convert to VRML without too much work. From there you would take your VMAP files, rasterize them and map them to the VRML.

Neil
